The practice of Metta has always been at the heart of Bhante Mahinda’s teaching of the Buddha Dhamma.

Inspired by the real-life experience in the efficacy of the practice of Metta throughout Bhante Mahinda’s teaching life, Aloka Foundation initiated the first-ever round-the-clock chanting relay of the Karaniya Metta Sutta – the Buddha’s discourse on loving-kindness – on 31 December 2011 to usher the new year of 2012.
